Restoring Photos and memories.

A few things I’ve done.

In the past I have made a book design in a group project with the Warrington Borough Council to showcase the history of the Town Hall. This was work experience through college and I thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone in my team and Janice Hayes (author). I have also enjoyed working and gaining work experience in Graphic Design with Mama Cupcake and again Warington Borough Council. For Mama Cupcake, she needed a new logo as she had only bought one off of Etsy previously and noticed that a few other bakers have the same logo so new it was time to refresh. I also created a design for Warrington Borough Council’s Family Centre’s. They were rebranding from Children Centres to Family Centres so required a new logo to go with the change, they also needed an overhaul of the look of the website and general graphics where the information was supplied.
it was really fun getting to create possible logos for these people to use and have showcase. It was definitely fun to work on the group project for the Town Hall book. Something which you can actually buy at their museum! I also had the pleasure of the chance to watch it get cut in the Town Halls printing facility. They offered us a free tour throughout their printing and media facility and it was really cool getting to see our different unique copies getting printed in real time on high quality fresh paper.

I have also done a few things in my Photo Restoration.
The first person who I did an image for was my friend Abi, who basically started this whole thing off, I mentioned that I previously touched upon Photoshop and Graphic Design in college before and she asked me if it would be possible to fix up an image that her mum loved of her grandma as it was the only one she had of her and it had started to fade. I fixed up the image and colour key-ed back it to normal and she loved it! Since then, I have worked with friends and used other examples found on the internet to train myself and get used to the software and processes of restoring an image. One thing I am proud to say is that I have never directly used AI to process and restore an image, all with my bare hands!
